In this work high-torque permanent magnets synchronous electric motors (HPMSM) with low weight and size parameters, high torque, low vibrations and high efficiency, are investigated. The authors have designed HPMSM, with the aim of conducting experimental studies, the size of which magnetic core was calculated by analytical methods. Two experimental layouts of the HPMSM were made absolutely identical except for the material of the magnetic core. Amorphous low-coercivity material (ALM) and electrical steel were used as materials of the magnetic core. HPMSM with magnetic cores made of ALM and electrical steel computer simulation was also carried out using the finite-element methods, since it is difficult to determine some HPMSM parameters by means of experimental studies. The HPMSM experimental layouts were studied in the generator mode, with the same rotor frequencies and with the same supply voltages. All studies were conducted to assess the effectiveness of using ALM in HPMSM. The analysis of the experimental studies showed the effectiveness of using ALM in HPMSM.References
